Apptium is looking to hire enthusiastic a Lead Software Developer who is responsible for leading and mentoring a team of developers, designing and architecting software solutions using Java, microservices, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), and driving digital transformation and DevOps strategies. Collaborates with stakeholders, ensures best practices, and oversees the development lifecycle to optimize efficiency and meet business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

   
• Responsible for leading a team of developers while assigning projects and day to day tasks to appropriate resources. Provide subject matter guidance to employees and mentor others on the team and ensure they are trained. Work closely with project teams to understand business and user needs and helps refine requirements.
• Analyze, review, and optimize programs to increase operating efficiency or to adapt to new program requirements. Demonstrate knowledge of in-depth understanding of product life cycle, and design and architect projects through implementation, including establishing and enforcing standards.
• Direct the evaluation of new and existing development by ensuring customer feedback and best practices are utilized across the team to evolve and improve. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and develop software solutions, with a focus on Java, Microservices, Cloud Technologies and relational database technologies.
• Lead solutioning discussions with other teams (internal and external) and responsible for documenting and obtaining signoff on the solution prior to development kickoff. Architect digital transformation applications with best practices based on AWS, Azure and GCP cloud providers. Lead DevOps teams for defining the development strategy for efficiency and define and manage the continuous integration and continuous deployment processes.
• Work in collaboration with the broader organization, including other development teams and leaders. Drive strategy and oversees the future development of Apptium products and services across multiple platforms. Communicate clearly and concisely with clients, customers and management.
• Supervises 3-10 subordinates in the roles of Software Developer, Senior Software Developer, UI Developer, Senior UI Developer, Software QA, and Senior Software QA.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS

• Master's or equivalent in Computer Science, or related and 24 months of experience in the job offered or as a Software Developer, or related.
• In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor's or equivalent in the above-stated fields plus 60 months of progressively responsible experience in the above-stated occupations.  
• Additionally, all candidates must possess 2 years: Collaborating with teams; using Spring Framework; RDMS (e.g. Oracle); working with high volume, low latency business critical systems; Agile; SCRUM; REST; SOAP; and microservices architecture development using Spring Boot; and Rally or Jira. AWS certification or at least 1 year of AWS cloud technologies. Experience managing an IT project task.
